It's interesting how the playing card has made it's way into our lives in so many different ways. The obvious connection is clearly in the use of cards for games ... but over the years these simple layers of paper have been morphed into a variety of alternative applications that transcend games. If you've read A History of Playing Cards and/or What's Up With The Bicycle you'd already know of some of the strange applications for cards ... but in case you haven't it includes cards describing history, geography, religious doctrine, popular plays and satires, military spotter and most wanted decks, product advertising, and even making mixed drinks. You can now even be the playing card youself w/ a selection of playing card costumes that you can wear around the house on a lazy Sunday!

Here you'll find artistic interpretations of cards, ways to hold your shirt sleeve together (card cuff links), playing card lighters, hooked rugs in the design of cards, motorcycle master cylinder covers, and a set of Sun Tzu war strategy cards.
